Bullhorn’s Global Recruitment Insights and Data utilises information from an online survey of global recruitment agency employees. A total of 2,185 responses were received globally. The survey was fielded on a rolling basis across countries in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific from September 11, 2018 to November 30, 2018.
In Australia and New Zealand, nearly half of the respondents operate primarily in the temporary (27 percent) and contract (13) space, followed by permanent placement (42 percent) and executive search (10 percent). Less than two percent each operate as Managed Service Providers, within Recruitment Process Outsourcing, and encompassing other formats.
Less than half of the companies employ fewer than 10 recruiters and salespeople (45 percent) while companies employing 11-50 recruiters followed (42 percent). Over ten percent of those surveyed had 50 recruiters or above, and a significant portion are executives (28 percent).
Half of respondents say their agencies generate less than $5 million in annual revenue (50 percent) and nearly a quarter of agencies (21 percent) bring in more than $25 million. Participants reflect a wide variety of placement disciplines and industries served.
Please note, some figures may not add up to 100 percent due to rounding or question design (e.g., the ability to provide multiple answers). Some respondent quotes were edited for clarity and length.
