Bullhorn’s Global Recruitment Insights and Data site utilizes information from an online survey of global recruitment agency employees. A total of 2,185 responses were received globally. The survey was fielded on a rolling basis across countries in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific from September 11, 2018 to November 30, 2018.
Nearly half of the respondents operate primarily in the temporary (24 percent) and contract (23) space, followed by permanent placement (31 percent) and executive search (11 percent). Less than two percent each operate as Managed Service Providers, within Recruitment Process Outsourcing, and encompassing other formats.
Less than half of the companies employ fewer than 25 recruiters and salespeople (48 percent) while nearly a quarter (22 percent) employ more than 50 recruiters and salespeople. More than half of respondents work in recruiting or HR/Talent Acquisition (51 percent), and a significant portion are executives (25 percent).
Half of respondents say their firms generate less than $5 million in annual revenue (50 percent) and nearly a quarter of firms (24 percent) bring in more than $25 million. Participants reflect a wide variety of placement disciplines and industries served.
